Choc Banana tart

Baking time 50min

Serving 1 large tart

 

For the crust

 

200g soaked and mashed dates

200g Almond flour

2tsp Caramel essence

1/2 tsp salt

 

5 medium bananas peeled and mashed (+/- 500g)

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp bicarb of soda

1 1/2 tsp caramel essence

1/2 tsp vanilla essence

2 heaped tbsp Cacao

2 tbsp honey

1/2tsp cinnamon

 

3 Eggs beaten separately then added to the mashed banana

 

For the topping

Sliced banana

Almond flakes/sprinkles

Drizzle of honey once out of the oven

Garnish with mint

 

Instructions

Pre heat oven to 190’ C

Soak dates till soft, drain water and add the rest of the crust ingredients.

Prepare the baking dish with non-stick spray.

Make a crust

Bake for 5min

In the meantime mix the filling, scoop into crust and then bake for another 40-45min Dust with cacao and drizzle with honey and garnish with almond shavings and fresh mint
